English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL 1000  ESL Conference Writing  (4 Credits)  
Helps non-native speakers of English to improve their writing through group instruction and one-on-one conferencing. Emphasis is placed on standard English structure, sophistication of vocabulary and writing style, and self-editing skills.
ESL 1020  Oral Communication for Non-Native Speakers  (1-4 Credit)  
Develops presentation, listening, interpersonal and pronunciation skills necessary for active participation in the college classroom. Credit in this course is not applicable to the major specialty in communication.
ESL 1030  ESL Skills Development  (1-5 Credit)  
Prerequisite: ESL 0041 and 0042 or equivalent.
