At Seattle Pacific Seminary, students will be educated, equipped, and empowered to participate in the reconciling work of Christ for the renewal of the church and the life of the world.

Seattle Pacific Seminary offers a Master of Divinity (MDiv), seven Master of Arts (MA) degrees, and two dual degree programs in partnership with the School of Psychology, Family, and Community, as well as six different Graduate Certificates in specialized ministry areas.  

Our Mission

Seattle Pacific Seminary is a workshop of the Holy Spirit that exists to pursue the knowledge of the Triune God for the deepening of the church's worship and the strengthening of its love for the least of these.

Programs in the School of Theology meet the educational requirements for denominational ordination, which are not regulated by any states, due to the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree provides the education necessary for ordination in several Christian denominations: the Free Methodist Church; the United Methodist Church; the Presbyterian Church in the USA; and others. These ordination requirements do not differ by state, only by denomination.
