Minors
The accelerated 4+1 Pathway allows high-achieving students to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and a Master of Science in Data Analytics in just five years. This integrated curriculum prepares graduates for leadership roles at the intersection of technology and business strategy, equipping them to drive data-driven decision-making across finance, healthcare, marketing, and consulting sectors. Data Science majors admitted to the MS in Data Analytics will complete up to 15 credits of graduate coursework in their junior and senior years, finishing the remaining 30 credits for the master’s degree during the fifth year. The graduate coursework taken as an undergraduate student will count towards both the BS in Data Science and MS in Data Analytics degrees.
Students interested in completing this 4+1 Pathway should apply to SPU as a Data Science major. At the end of their sophomore or junior year, students with a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply to the MS in Data Analytics program. For more information about this pathway, contact cbt@spu.edu.
