Curriculum and Instruction: Theological Education Emphasis (MEd)

Program Description

Division of Education Faculty

Seattle Pacific University’s MEd in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) provides five pathways for teachers to bolster their instructional expertise and leadership capacity. Develop your skills in educational theory, research, and best practices to enhance your ability to create culturally sustainable and inclusive learning spaces that impact the health of our schools.

Depending upon your specific professional goals and interests, there are five areas of emphasis: Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Leadership, Multilingual Learners, Theological Education, and a Self-Designed program.

The Theological Education emphasis builds on SPU’s mission of connecting faith and learning by giving educators space to think about how theology shapes their work in curriculum, teaching, and leadership. It offers a unique option for educators in Christian schools, faith-based organizations, higher education, and public schools who want to reflect on their calling through a theological lens.
